As challenging as living in these uncertain times has been, we have to keep going. In spite of what seems to be the fact that life is out to get us, there are ways for us to protect ourselves from the worst that life can throw at us. One way of doing this is by staying prepared. Preparation, in a nutshell, is a system or a process of getting something ready for use in the future. In the case of disaster preparation, this means identifying risks and preparing for them by gathering resources and increasing our level of knowledge about various kinds of disaster scenarios. It’s also about having supplies available to minimize any damage that disaster could cause on us and our facilities.
