Gabriel Dinca is the author of "Comentariu Literar A Poeziei Dorul De Lucian Blaga" which was published in the journal "Revista de Sud". This paper analyzes the theme of "mechanism" in this Romanian poet's work. The author writes that the poem has three main moving images: animals, landscapes, and night. These objects are characterized by their absence or presence. The mechanistic imagery is reflected on modernity with reference to two types of modernity, technological and economic.... The violence-induced inevitability of death is presented as something banal; even god an act has no weight anymore... For the author, these aspects reveal the mechanistic aspect of Blaga's work, which is based on the law of elimination. Mechanism expresses itself in its cruel and cold way in his poetry. The only side Blaga shows is that of presence (not absence) but also not aliveness (not death). This corresponds to a symbolic meeting between man and death. The article ends with a summary, where Dinca argues that "mechanism" can be seen as an anonymous mechanical image which fills in all possible forms and shapes in Blaga's work, regardless of form: poem, novel, criticism and letters. The meaning is hidden in the form itself: this is what we call "plasticity".
